7.2%

The unemployment rate in the U.S. spiked to 7.2% as reported today. This translates into about 11,600,000 unemployed people (in the workforce) in the U.S. AMAZING!

And isn't that just the number of people still currently collecting benefits? I've heard that people whose benefits have run out are not counted in this figure...
